Sustainability in logistics is no longer about saying the right thing. It is about being able to prove it.
Woodland Group, a privately owned global supply chain solutions provider and NAP member, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, setting out measurable progress across its operations and new services designed to help customers reduce supply chain emissions.
For NAP members, the story matters because sustainability is becoming part of customer requirements, tenders, partner selection, and long-term competitiveness. Independent logistics providers are increasingly expected to show credible data, transparent reporting, and practical ways to support customer Scope 3 reduction.
Woodland’s report highlights a 56% reduction in electricity-related emissions compared with its 2022 baseline, and a 59% reduction in material handling emissions in one year. More than 94% of the company’s material handling fleet is now electric.
The company also supports more sustainable air freight logistics through smarter routing, consolidated uplift, emissions reporting, and access to airline programmes investing in newer aircraft technology and Sustainable Aviation Fuel through book-and-claim schemes.
In 2025, Woodland introduced new Book & Claim services across road, sea, and air freight, allowing customers to support verified lower-carbon fuels and reduce supply chain emissions, even where those fuels are not physically available on every route.
Woodland also retained its Gold EcoVadis rating for the third consecutive year, improving its score to 79/100 and placing the company within the top 3% of more than 150,000 organisations assessed worldwide. The report is aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative framework, following a Double Materiality Assessment in 2024/25.
“Sustainability is becoming part of everyday operational decisions at Woodland, rather than something that sits to one side,” said Sam Warren, Sustainability Manager at Woodland Group. “This report shows the progress that comes from that, measurable, audited, and honest about the challenges still ahead. It’s also a chance to share what we’re learning with our customers and partners.”
For Neutral Air Partner, this is the type of member story that matters: practical, measurable, and relevant to how logistics providers build trust, win tenders, and support customers in a market where proof is becoming part of the service.
