The new interline path serves Penang’s semiconductor, electronics and medical-supply exports with onward global connections.
Airline partner Turkish Cargo has introduced an interline connection that links Penang with the Maldives before cargo continues to Istanbul and onward across the carrier’s international network.
The connection is relevant to Penang’s export base, including semiconductors, electronic components, medical supplies and aircraft spare parts. These products often depend on reliable air cargo routings, close transfer coordination and access to a broad range of onward destinations.
For forwarding and logistics partners serving manufacturers and shippers in Southeast Asia, the development adds another routing option from one of the region’s important production markets. It also shows how interline cooperation can extend network reach without requiring every sector to be served by a single operating carrier.
