The Boeing 737-800s, including crews and maintenance, start flydubai’s dedicated freighter operation on 1 October.
Airline partner SolitAir will support flydubai’s entry into dedicated freighter operations by providing three Boeing 737-800 freighter aircraft under a wet-lease agreement.
The operation is scheduled to begin on 1 October 2026. The agreement gives flydubai access to defined freighter aircraft, crews, maintenance and insurance while it establishes a dedicated cargo offer from Dubai.
For forwarding and logistics partners, the development adds another source of narrowbody freighter capacity in a market connecting the Middle East with growing regional trade lanes. SolitAir already brings a B2B, airport-to-airport cargo model to the Airline partner portfolio. Its role in the flydubai launch extends that operating capability within Dubai’s cargo market.
