Saudia Cargo has launched a twice-weekly scheduled freighter service connecting Dhaka (DAC) with Frankfurt (FRA), creating an additional cargo link between one of South Asia’s largest export markets and a major European logistics hub.
The service began on 14 August and is expected to support textiles and ready-made garments, pharmaceuticals, perishables, industrial equipment and e-commerce shipments. Frankfurt provides access to extensive air and road connections across Europe, while Dhaka remains an important sourcing and manufacturing centre for international supply chains.
For Neutral Air Partner members, the route creates new opportunities to develop traffic between Bangladesh and Europe. Members can combine local origin expertise in Dhaka with customs clearance, handling and onward distribution capabilities across the NAP network, offering customers more routing options and greater access to scheduled freighter capacity.
The new connection is particularly relevant for forwarders managing high-volume garment exports, time-sensitive e-commerce traffic and temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipments. European members may also explore return-load opportunities for industrial equipment, healthcare products and other specialised cargo moving into Bangladesh.
NAP members with existing or potential traffic on this corridor are encouraged to coordinate through the network, compare capacity and schedules, and identify opportunities for joint consolidation and end-to-end solutions.
