OPTEC Express Reroutes an Aircraft Starter to Incheon

OPTEC halted import clearance in Fukuoka before duties were incurred, then re-exported the 16 kg shipment.

OPTEC Express redirected an aircraft starter and related parts from Fukuoka to Incheon after the importer confirmed that a replacement had already arrived locally.

The 16 kg shipment reached Fukuoka on Friday evening, 24 July. OPTEC stopped the import-clearance process before duties were incurred and coordinated with the customer, customs brokers and airlines while the bonded warehouse was closed over the weekend. The team prepared the re-export documents so work could begin when the facility reopened on Monday.

Customs released the shipment for export at 16:49 on 27 July. OPTEC tendered it to the airline at 10:55 the following day; flight KE792 departed Fukuoka at 14:51 and arrived in Incheon at 16:12. The case shows why time-critical aerospace logistics begins with early information and customs control. Preventing an unnecessary import can matter as much as accelerating the onward flight.
