OPTEC Express Delivers 4.5-Ton Aircraft Engine to Singapore in 70-Hour Operation

Neutral Air Partner member OPTEC Express successfully completed the time-critical movement of a 4.5-ton aircraft engine from Naha, Japan, to Singapore in approximately 70 hours.

The complex operation required a carefully coordinated multimodal solution combining ferry, road and air transport. OPTEC managed each stage of the journey, maintaining close control over the shipment as it moved between transport modes and handling points.

Aircraft engine movements leave little margin for delay or error. Before departure, the OPTEC team verified dangerous goods labelling and airline acceptance requirements while also preparing standby options to protect the schedule. This advance planning allowed the team to respond quickly to potential disruption and keep the shipment moving toward its destination.

The operation demonstrates the level of coordination required in aerospace logistics, where oversized cargo, regulatory requirements, limited routing options and strict delivery deadlines must be managed simultaneously. Success depends not only on finding capacity, but also on anticipating potential obstacles before they affect the shipment.

As part of the Neutral Air Partner ecosystem, OPTEC Express supports customers with urgent freight, AOG logistics and specialised aerospace movements across its international network. This latest operation highlights the practical expertise and rapid response capabilities available within NAP’s global community of independent logistics specialists.
