As we all know, Turkey and Syria were recently devastated by a massive earthquake. The human toll of this natural disaster continues to get worse.
Oscar Yilmaz from Navia Melbourne office is an active member of the Turkish community in Australia. Through mutual contacts within the Turkish community, he was contacted to see if Navia could help move goods being donated to the Earthquake-affected areas.
The answer, of course, was yes.

Steve McDonaugh, Export Airfreight manager, stepped in next. From what was going to be Navia donating some time and resource loading units and getting them up to the airport terminal, Steve has been able to get all partners to offer their services for free!
That means 230 CBM of goods donated so far, got to where it’s needed most at no cost (almost two plane loads of goods).
Partners like Turkish Airlines, Qantas, Malaysian Airlines, Menzies, AMI Australia, and Navia local truckers have all put their hand up to help make this happen.
In addition, Navia was featured on three of the largest news services in Australia, including channel 7, 9 and ABC.
