When we announced NAPay at the 9th OPENAP Asia 2025 in Thailand, the goal was simple:
Make payments between NAP members as easy, fast and reliable as moving the freight itself.
Traditional international payments between freight partners are:
- Slow
- Expensive
- Full of manual reconciliation and bank fees
- Especially painful when you’re working across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
NAPay, powered by CargoAi’s CargoWALLET, is our answer to that problem: a network wide payment layer designed specifically for freight professionals.
Since the launch, many members have started onboarding and testing the system. Now we’re at the point where we can say:
All NAP members are on NAPay.

What’s new: You can transact even if the other member isn’t fully onboarded
One of the most common questions we’ve received:
“How many NAP members are on NAPay today?”
The answer is:
All NAP members are on NAPay.
Every NAP member has been created in the NAPay environment. To take full advantage, each company still needs to:
- Activate their account
- Complete KYC
- Fund their wallet
However, there’s an important update:
You can already start transacting.
The CargoWALLET team can process payments via wire transfer to any NAP member – even if they haven’t set up their wallet yet.
That means you don’t have to wait for everyone else to “catch up” before you start using NAPay. You can begin with your closest partners and let the network follow.
How to get started with NAPay in 3 steps
To keep this practical, here’s exactly what we need from you.
Finish setting up your NAPay account
If you haven’t already:
- Look for the onboarding email from CargoWALLET / NAPay
- Reset your password and log in
- Check that your company details are correct
If you can’t find the email, contact: [email protected]
Complete the KYC form
KYC is required for bank withdrawals and helps avoid delays later.
- Complete the KYC form once
- Save time on every future transaction
- Reduce back?and?forth when you need to move funds out of your wallet
Fund your wallet
Once your account is active:
- Fund your NAPay wallet in your preferred currency
- Start paying or requesting payments from NAP partners
Remember: even if a partner hasn’t fully activated their wallet, CargoWALLET can still process a payment to them via wire transfer.
When to use NAPay vs traditional payments
Use NAPay when:
- You’re paying another NAP member
- You need faster confirmationthan traditional bank transfers
- You want to reduce fees, FX friction and manual reconciliation
- You’re dealing with repeated payments to the same partners
You can keep your traditional banking channels for:
- Non-NAP partners
- Exceptional cases where NAPay is not yet configured for a specific flow
But our goal is clear: over time, NAPay should become the default way NAP members pay each other.
