Galaxy Freight’s Managing Director, Mr. Afzal Malbarwala, represented as the Session Chair for the panel discussion on “Role of Air Cargo in Driving India’s Trade” at the International Cargo Business Summit 2026.
Drawing on his extensive experience in global freight forwarding, Mr. Malbarwala shared perspectives on the strategic role of air cargo in advancing India’s trade ambitions. The discussion, held during the morning session on 31 January, underscored the importance of speed, reliability, and global connectivity in enabling high-value and time-sensitive exports, while highlighting air cargo’s growing significance in supporting India’s expanding manufacturing and export ecosystem.
The summit was organised by Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) in association with FICCI and held on 31 January & 01 February 2026 at the CIAL Convention Centre, Cochin International Airport, Kerala, India. The two-day event was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, and brought together senior leaders from airlines, regulatory bodies, freight forwarding, technology providers, exporters, and importers for insightful and meaningful deliberations.
