Alana Raitt was appointed as the new National Airfreight Product Manager of NAP member Consol Alliance in Australia. Alana has been in the logistics industry for almost 10 years, starting out as a junior export operator and quickly found that she had a passion for airfreight, with main focus on projects and perishable cargo.

“Looking to broaden my airfreight knowledge I moved to DNATA within the cargo sector handling Imports and Exports as well as dispatching international flights. Through my initial years in the industry I became very passionate about airfreight, I knew it was a career I wanted to pursue. I find the day-to-day challenges and the fast-paced nature of the job exciting and very rewarding. Coming to Consol Alliance 3 years ago, I moved into a customer service role which allowed me to really focus on delivering solutions within our airfreight division.
We decided to create the National Product Manager role right at the beginning of the COVID-19 situation. We knew straight away that with international PAX flights stopping, air cargo was going to be impacted and we had to find solutions to keep our clients cargo moving. Throughout the crisis it gave us the opportunity to become adaptable to the challenges that arose within the industry and really provide personalised customer solutions.
I am excited for the future of the company as aviation enters a post-pandemic world that gives us a chance to really focus on specialisation, especially in our key trade lanes. Since introducing the role, our volumes have grown with our largest ever through put month being April!
I’m humbled by the opportunity to grow within the company’s aviation department and very much look forward to dealing with all of our Neutral Air Partner members to assist with shipments from Australia!” Alana stated.
